Monica I. Sandell was born in Landskrona, Sweden. She is an artist/sculptor and lives and works in Dragsnäs, Ronneby (Sweden).

Education: Cultural studies, University of Lund, Sweden, as well as modelling clay and anatomy courses.

Member of the Swedisch Skulptörförbundet artist union and Svenska konstnärer, Konstrundan i Blekinge, Helsingborgs konstförening, ArtWorks.

Collections: Municipality of Landskrona and Hultsfred, Sweden, as well as foundations, companies and private collectors in the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, France, United States and Canada.

Awards:
Leonardo Award for sculpture, first price at the Biennale Chianciano Terme Art Museum, Italy, 2011;
